Six years after the opening of the first RAFF with the film “Les Miserables”, for which he received both the Rab Film Festival audience award and an Oscar nomination, Rab’s loved film director Ladj Ly returns to Rab with his new film “Les Indésirables”.

This great director focused on social issues, this time brings a story of Haby, a young woman deeply involved in the life of her community, discovers a redevelopment plan for her neighbourhood. Led behind closed doors by Pierre Forges, a young doctor thrust into the role of mayor, the plan calls for the demolition of the block where Haby grew up. Together with the inhabitants of the building, she embarks on a fierce battle to prevent destruction of Block 5. The main actors of the film “Les Indésirables”, Anta Diaw and Aristote Luyindula, are coming to Rab for the opening of the festival, and will attend the Croatian premiere of this film. “Les Indésirables” had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.
