“QUEEN’S GAMBIT” with Elizabeta Gojan – the guest is the leading actress of the Croatian National Theatre in Split Snježana Sinovčić Šiškov. Snježana has a role in the film “Južina”, in competition for the RAFF awards, which is only the last notable role in her rich theater and film career.

RAFF TALK – THE EFFECT OF TRUTH: CAN FACTS BECOME INVISIBLE?
At the beginning of the panel, the first episode of the series “The Effect of Truth” will be shown, lasting 20 minutes, after which director Andrej Pichyienko, producer Youssef Zineddine and journalist Silvana Menđušić will discuss the topic. The panel will be moderated by Žarka Radoja, and will be in English language.

“THE PEACEMAKER” – Croatian documentary film, in competition for the award
In 1991, Josip Reihl Kir, the chief of Osijek police, a man dedicated to negotiations and avoiding war, was killed at the entrance to suburb Tenja. The Peacemaker is a story about the last few months of his life, at the dawn of the bloody Croatian-Serbian war, which Kir tried to prevent by all possible means. Story is told through statements of several witnesses and using video archives from that time. Even today, after more than thirty years, many elements of this murder are unsolved, and the possible instigators – unknown.
The film is the winner of the Pula Film Festival.

Chatila and Reda, the Palestinian refugees in this tense drama, are two cousins who are saving up to pay for fake passports to get out of Athens. Yet, when Reda loses their hard-earned money due to her drug addiction, Chatila comes up with an extreme plan to pose as a smuggler in an attempt to get them out of a desperate situation before it’s too late.
