8TH RAB FILM FESTIVAL OPENS WITH SPANISH FILM ‘SUNDAYS’

The eighth Rab Film Festival officially opened on 22 August with a screening of the award-winning Spanish drama ‘Sundays’. The opening programme began with a gathering at the City Loggia, continued with the official ceremony at the Open-Air Cinema, and concluded with a performance by Elvis Stanić AIRes Collective at Pjaceta.

RAFF TODAY: A SUNDAY OF FILM, JOURNALISM AND GREAT STORIE

Sunday at the Rab Film Festival brings a packed programme from morning until late at night – from RAFF Talk and RAFF Junior, through Croatian premieres of acclaimed international documentaries, to films dealing with journalism, war, identity and the threats of totalitarianism. The day concludes with music at Festival Square Pjaceta.

RAFF GENERATION OPENS WITH LECTURES ON FILM AND JOURNALISM

The RAFF Generation programme began with lectures by film critic Vladan Petković and university lecturer Tomislav Levak. Participants learned about critical approaches to film and discussed the changes and challenges facing modern journalism, connecting the two professions through investigating reality, verifying facts and thinking critically.

Saturday at RAFF brings a full day of films for audiences of all generations, from the morning RAFF Junior screening and an award-winning documentary about civil resistance to the rescheduled RAFF Intro screening of Heysel 85, student films, the official opening of the 8th RAFF and an evening of music at Festival Square Pjaceta.
