A look at the other side of football—a suspenseful drama based on true events.
In May 1985, the European Cup Final between Liverpool and Juventus took place at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels. The match was attended by 39-year-old Marie, the daughter of the mayor of Brussels, and 31-year-old journalist Luca Rossi, who reports for Italian television. Before the match begins, extreme violence erupts, escalating and resulting in the deaths of 39 people. While Luca searches for his family, continuing to report, Marie must take over her father’s duties and make some fateful decisions. The suspenseful drama based on true events premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
