Nova TV once again provided dedicated coverage of the Rab Film Festival, bringing its films, festival atmosphere and conversations about journalism to audiences across Croatia. Its role, however, extended beyond media coverage, as Nova TV journalists also took an active part in the programme of the 8th RAFF.
Reporter Ana Vela travelled to Rab to cover the festival’s opening. For Nova TV’s central news programme, she spoke with Goran Navojec and RAFF director Robert Tomić Zuber about the films, journalism and this year’s festival programme.
Journalist Barbara Štrbac shared her professional experience with young participants in the RAFF Generation programme through her lecture Breaking News in Small Newsrooms. She discussed how smaller newsrooms can prepare for major and unexpected events while maintaining their audience’s trust.
Award-winning reporter and documentary filmmaker Marko Stričević took part in the RAFF Talk Journalism in Artistic Forms, where he presented his work on international affairs and discussed combining television reporting with documentary filmmaking.
