Former professional tennis player Tom now works as a coach at a summer resort in the Canary Islands, where he tries to drown his loneliness with alcohol and fleeting relationships. When a seemingly perfect British couple, Dave and Anne, arrive at the resort with their son Anton, Tom feels an inexplicable connection, but also an instinctive distrust, especially after Dave suddenly disappears.
