Večernji list has supported the Rab Film Festival as its media partner for six years, helping its films, guests and messages reach audiences across Croatia.
This year’s collaboration was marked by the world premiere of the documentary Vjesnik – Last Edition, produced by Večernji list. The film, directed by Dražen Klarić, editor-in-chief and director of Večernji list, was presented to a large audience on Rab together with its producer and co-screenwriter Petra Balija.
The film presents an emotional and analytical story about Vjesnik, the people who created it and a period in which it stood as one of the symbols of Croatian journalism. It goes beyond the story of the iconic building and its disappearance, preserving the memory of an entire era in journalism. The world premiere at RAFF demonstrated just how strongly such stories continue to resonate with audiences.
Dražen Klarić also took part in the RAFF Talk Journalism in Artistic Forms, where he joined other journalism and film professionals in discussing how journalistic research can find new life through documentary filmmaking.
